When purchasing from a metal supply co, what size is the 1/4" pipe that would be used to make a wand?

Is is 1/4" ID schedule 40?

Why would you do that as opposed to buying a wand? You won't be able to have the pipe tapped at one end of 1/8" nozzle so you will have to add a coupling for a 1/4" nozzle.

Don't know what the schedule size is, but it should be a bit over 1/2" OD.
