Stand alone dryers pricing

i have dryers near my exit at my self serve for the last 20 years that has been $1 for 60 seconds. thinking about going up to $2. i have never been afraid to raise prices through the years at both full and self serv washes but wandering if i shouldn’t on this as the customer has already done me well spending in the bay and vac. has anyone here made the increase on their dryers and how did it go? thanks as always for any unput!

At $1 you might be breaking even. Although an argument could be made that you could get more business from promoting that for $1 you get that feature. What is the current take rate would you guess?

Id say youre breaking even at best at $1. Id look at it like this. If you go from $1 to $2 and half the people stop using them youre making the same money at half the cost. If youre not worried about profiting off of this and using it as a bone to throw your customers for marketing or customer retention because you have something that others dont then thats another discussion entirely, although on the flip side if you have something that others in the area dont have then charge what you can get for it.
