I just want to get a metal roll up door for my automatic. Don't want anything electric or nothing like that. Just want to be able to close it up at night when its cold. Anyone know where to get these?

I'd like to do something like that also but I'm afraid that the harsh carwash environment and the brutal winter weather in MI would destroy the door in a year or two.

I think you're asking for trouble if you install cheapo doors. I am the king of cheap (okay prince; whale is the king), but my doors take a pounding here in New England. I'm lubing them daily and pm'ing them twice a year in the off season to keep them functioning in the Winter. A failed door causes shutdown of a money-making bay on a cold but busy day.

Don't skimp on IBA doors! Don't over-spend, but do not get the cheapest; you will be sorry.

I see no reason to go crazy with an expensive door when you only plan to close it 50 or so times each winter. Even if it does break, pretty much anyone that can operate a car wash can come up with a way to at least get the door open. I say buy the cheapy door. If it rusts away in a couple of years, so what. You will have that knowledge to help you make your decision on the next one. If you get 5 or 6 years out of it, it would probably make sense to just buy another one just like it when needed. My $.02
