I'm about to install a Doyle Fresh Impressions Quad vac, & need advice on buying the Shampoos, spot remover & fragrances from K-R. I can stop by KR, & pick it up so saw on shipping...
Suggestions on Fragrance, Spot Remover & Shampoo, from K-R

I only use Fragramatics Shampoo and Fragrances water based, I've been using them for years no complaints.

I've been using Zep Premium Carpet shampoo. About $12/gallon at Home Depot. Add 5 to 6 oz of the Zep concentrate per gallon of water. Way cheaper than anything else I've used and it works great.

I use the carpet cleaner from Sam's. It's cheap and works great.

Looks like slash007 wins with the juice from Sam's...great price, better dilution ratio, and excellent reviews.

I've been playing with different shampoos and spot removers recently, not necessarily to save money but to enhance performance. The margins are so great on these products that I am more interested in increasing effectiveness and overall usage instead of saving a few cents per application.
For spot remover, I've just started mixing up Meguiars detailer line all purpose cleaner at about 10:1. This is a very popular product in the detail industry. They use it for interior cleaning as well as carpet shampoo. You can mix it up in a sprayer and use it for most whatever around your car or around the wash (except glass). It works well. KR sells it at 12.50/gallon
Folex spot remover is supposed to work great as a spot remover, but it is around 17.00/gallon. I haven't tried it in a machine yet, but I keep some around in my wash office for customers that are having issues with stains. Its available at home depot and Lowes
Malco makes a great line of professional products, but you have to have a rep for easy access to their products. Their carpet shampoo works well and has some alkalinity.
I add lemon or lime water based fragrance to my shampoo and spot remover. I use about one cup of water based fragrance per gallon of solution. If you try this, make sure it is water based. It's enough to give it nice smell while using and a just a hint of residual smell. My shampoo usage has gone up appreciably.

I would never use this product.... But I heard "LA's Totally Awsome Carpet Spot & Stain Remover". Is well.... Pretty Awsome and is foamy plus cost $1. But it seems ultra expensive compared to slash007's stuff.

CFCW, what works best? Exactly what do you use, for added smell? I coach/teach, & haver nearly zero time to shop around + 60 miles from H-D
Why water based scents over oil based? I'm speaking about fragrances only as I don't have a carpet shampoo machine yet.
I switched to oil based, undiluted, a while ago under the assumption that it wouldn't evaporate as fast in the Florida heat. I now only refill them every other month instead of monthly. Or maybe they're not been used as much since I raised my prices. I assume Sooner doesn't get much snow in Texas, so would there be a benefit with water based or oil based?

I just buy a water based spray fragrance from KR or another supply store. I use 1-2 cups per gallon. There may be a better way to do it with concentrates. I just bought some fragrance to add my presoak from quest chemicals . It should be much more concentrated and may work well

Let me be clear I am adding a water based fragrance to my shampoo to give it a pleasant smell. I use oil based fragrances for spray fragrance. I use water based because, well,I've heard oil and water don't mix so well.

I mix the shampoo concentrate with RO water, seems to improve the "dry foam" ability.
