Swipe vs tap tracking

I just swapped one location from Etowah Valley to Crypto pay swipers. Wish I would have added the tap system also but will be adding that soon. It went easiier than I tought it would.

Etowah been sipping that city punch. Good luck getting customer service after purchase spent years trying to get new decals for our once Awesome custom doors. Not sure what is happening there but it’s sad for our industry

Update: Add the tap to the bays and left the existing swiper. I will say to anyone considering, do it. This location is not in a high income area or anything special. Immediately saw a jump in credit card usage, and Currently 82% of transactions are tap. Adding CCard to another location and not gonna hesitate to go tap only.

Old news, but worth repeating...

"Based on the decline in payments powered by magnetic stripes after chip-based payments took hold, newly-issued Mastercard credit and debit cards will not be required to have a stripe starting in 2024 in most markets. By 2033, no Mastercard credit and debit cards will have magnetic stripes, which leaves a long runway for the remaining partners who still rely on the technology to phase in chip card processing."

We were told the same thing in 2012 that by 2015 there would be no more mag stripes. I just got a new MC debit card with a mag stripe.
