I would never give my keys to anyone..
I do not trust anyone with my money..
Me too. If it jams, it'll just have to be jammed until I get there. That's a whole lot less expensive than a years worth of skimming here and there by a 'trusted' employee. It's too tempting. Some friends of ours had 2 washes that were 200 miles away from home. The went to the local Baptist church to find someone to hire based on the preacher's recommendation and did. They never saw a single quarter from their vacs.

A friend of mine has been micro-managing a 5/1 wash for an out-of-state owner - the previous "manager" was reporting a gross of $3,500 a month, and most of the functions as well as the auto bay didn't work. He and I spent a solid week of fixing and cleaning and turned it around, but the first month he was full hands-on it pulled in over $9,000 gross. Want to bet they were skimming most of it?

I've turned washes around like that before, but it takes many months or even years, not a week.
