Im looking for a Tankless water heater for my IBA Razor. I had a RINNNAI RCU98i in the past. It lasted about 5 years, I was using it for my SS bays.
It was a 11GPM and 199k BTU heater. attached is a picture of my old one. If anyone has anything that they feel is better built please let me know.

Are you running soft water through the one for the SS bays? That seems like a pretty short life span.

Do you have over 50 psi water pressure to the water heater at all times? IIRC that brand needs that or may not operate correctly. Its possible that played into the short life. The Takagi units only need 15 psi to operate and those are the ones we went with.

I use the takagi ones at my house and the water is pretty hard. They last about ten years. One runs the house potable water the other runs the radiant floor hear. I buy them at supply house dot com

I have several Rheem in service since 2010. Takagi also, but 1 of those failed in 4 years. Leaking primary heat exchanger but covered under warranty. All for the most part dependable units.
