Everyone in the country should watch that. Wait - their attention span isn't that long.

Stinking Obama was giving an interview before he was sworn in, and was asked about raising taxes on the wealthy. It was pointed out to him that every time taxes were raised, the government actually took in LESS revenue, and that the opposite was true whereby lowering taxes increased revenue to the coffers. He said he understood that, but that he wanted to raise taxes anyway as a matter of "fairness". The scary thing is that so many today still think he's doing a good job. Too bad we stopped steralizing people back in the 50s.

I hate to say it, but I think voting Obama out won't change much. We have a systemic problem in out political system. Very few politicians have the courage to tell the American public the truth. We're not going to be able to continue to afford government services, Social Security or Medicare in it's current form.

We all have an agenda. I went to several Tea Party rallies. Even most of the the old folks there complaining about government excess want their SS & Medicare untouched. The bulk of republican congress won't change it either. Once a politician starts telling granny she can't have her replacement titanium hip, granny votes them out for anyone that promises her a new one. I don't think we can "grow" our way out of this, and we obviously can't tax our way out of this. But we are going to continue to kick the can down the road until it is no longer possible.

The political will to change this will have to come from the people, and we aren't ready yet. I have read we have more people that get money from the government than give money to the government and if they are voters that's very a dangerous situation.

There is a huge amount of "pork" in the federal budget. Political favors like Solyndra and other "green" projects are a waste of taxpayers money. How can we give a country like Pakistan 800 billion while they refuse to cooperate with us? This and numerous other foreign aid programs are a tremendous burden.

I can't understand why we would cut programs to our own citizens while we send so much money overseas. By the way, if they would have left their hands off Social Security in the first place it would not be in trouble today. It became politicians personal bank and they have turned it into a federal ponzi scheme.

There seems to be little accountability and most of those in office are more concerned about keeping their job rather than doing it. Special interests pour money into their pockets and in return make millions. The system is indeed corrupt and there is little most citizens can do about it except complain. Seeds of our country's decline were planted in the 40's and watered in the 60's through the 90's. The current Administration is in the process of spending us into bankruptcy. Where the madness will end no one knows but I have a feeling it is sooner than most of us would like to believe.
