I have a 12yr old ShurVend “Mini” wall unit that I bought from Jim Holve. The MEI7000 coin acceptor is starting to give me problems with messages like ”Disabled By System.” There were no manuals that came with the machine, that allowed for troubleshooting. Does anyone know where I can call to get help with this issue? It’s not the MEI7000 because I have a new one on the shelf, swapped it out and the same message appeared on the display.

Yes it does, but the stacker was full of bills so I believe it was still accepting them. I can check that today.

Thanks Eric. With some more testing I found that the coin acceptor will accept quarters up to $2.00 and then it starts rejecting them. A combo of $1 and quarters works up to $2.00 and it will take nothing more. If you select a $2 item, it will dispense. If you select a $1 item, it won’t dispense. The error message on the coin acceptor says “Check Vendor, Disabled by Machine.”
