One of the richest men in America that voted for O, said about a month ago on CNBC that O's goal was to start a class war, look at the news it is starting.

Today he encouraged the protesters, yesterday he said that banks weren't entitled to a profit. He said that congress should make a law about BofA charging $5 for the debt card. The problem with anarchy is that the people that start it lose control.

How long will it be before people feel entitled to break into WalMarts.

Here is a little reality about screwing the fatcats:

In Greece, it is their problem, but it is people demanding that the government give them more money. Because, that is what the governments did to get elected, promised them more money. The problem is that one day the government wakes up broke. That is the same attitude here.

Thanks Bill for this one. Even some of my friends are telling me we, meaing the government, need to tax the rich more. I'll send them this link. Meanwhile, Steve Jobs just died. He was worth a lot, and our president claims he is a rich billionair who doesn't pay enough. He created thousands of jobs and made many people millionairs. We need a thousand more like him.

These protesters are trying to create the same outcome as what happened in Egypt & Libya. Next they will be rioting. They may get away with that in the cities. But out here in the woods they will get shot. It may be time to bring back the militia that existed in the 1770's. Purely for defensive reasons.

Looking at these people they probably have never held a decent job if any job at all and need the money they are being paid to protest to buy drugs. I read where they may be forced out of the park they are occupying right now due to the health hazard the area has become. That could be the spark to start the riot. I think the Dems supporting this are really playing with fire and could get burned.

I have mixed feelings on this one. Let me make it clear that I don't agree with anti-capitalist protesters who want to re-distribute but we conservatives now have been suddenly been placed in the position of defending the TBTF banks.

Did the banks make their profits recently by loaning out capital to business people? If I understand this correctly, we continue to "bail out" many banks even today. The Big Banks that have access to discount window are continually being funneled cheap money from the federal reserve. They then turn around with this money that is loaned to them at virtually no cost and buy treasuries earning a return. The banks have less motivation to risk loaning to anyone because they have been given a sweet deal of risk free returns on government papers. The public is paying through this through a wakening dollar and the resultant inflation it has caused.

So here I am, more conservative than most conservative talking heads, being asked to defend the so-called "capitalist banks", when to me the systems looks rigged in their favor at the cost of the purchasing power of my money. So do I root for the Russians or the Germans in this battle?

So do I vote democrat (Hell no)so they can distribute wealth to other losers, or vote Republican so we can continue what appears to be an oligarchy? Neither party has as realistic answer and that is why I think we as a country are screwed..............

I have no love whatsoever for the banks but I don't blame them for what they are doing. Firstly congress required them to make loans that they knew would never be repaid. The politicians, being morons, just assumed that the banks would eat these losses. Instead they packaged the loans and sold them to someone else, their version of "kicking the can down the road". The bottom line is that the bankers are smarter than the poiticians and they always will be. Barney friggin Frank is the most powerful person in the financial world today. If that doesn't scare the hell out of you I don't know what would.

These protesters are against more than just banks. Most of them protest for a living if that is what you want to call it. They are protesting against almost anyone that makes a paycheck and has any money. They want everything given to them. Look at their signs. Since few if any of them have any money this is a bunch of crap anyway you slice it.

The only thing lower on the totem pole are the scumbag politicians that support their efforts. Most of those bastards created the problem to begin with. I don't see any of them on the protest. Their goal is to blame anyone except the real cause - current administration policies. It is politics at its lowest which will pretty much be what we will see and hear for the next year.

Just the beginning like the brown shirts in the 30's. I was hoping that this crap wouldn't materialize in my life time, but I'm afraid that it is. Grab a history book, we are about to relive some of it. only this time, right here.

Tea party demonstrates for weeks, not 1 arrest in spite of the fact some were carrying guns, two-three days with the union brown shirts and 1200 arrested, but with big O's blessing, nothing will stop them. The banks and wall street are just a convenient excuse to start the take over.

I see things getting better actually. It's because of these two words: Herman Cain. Watch him, for he knows what he's doing.

The only issue that I see with him and some of the other business people running is that when it comes to dealing with the rest of the world, you need experienced politicians. Carter was one of our worse Presidents, not because he had a socialist agenda, but because he was naive.

I don't know much about Cain but I will take him over any overly polished professional politician. Even though Christie was too liberal for my liking, I liked the fact he told the hard cold truth. We need someone like that.

I don't think the American public is yet willing to endure what it will take to fix the deep financial problem that we are in, making it political Hari Kari for anyone that speaks the truth. Even many in the tea party proclaim loudly " cut government spending!" but then in the same breath say "but keep your hands off my Medicare and Social Security!"

Has anyone proposed a plan yet that actually reduces total government spending, not just reduced the planned increases?

I think the Republicans have a problem with Cain. On one hand he seems to be gaining popularity with voters but on the other he makes the Party uncomfortable because he is somewhat independent from their rank and file. The Dems are even in more trouble having to run a candidate that appears to have little chance of being reelected barring a miraculous recovery of the economy and unemployment.

Love these political threads. Usually try not to chime in... but what the heck!

IMO the 2 root causes of our "problems"
a) a government that agrees to give everybody everything for nothing, as they think they deserve
b) a government that is owned by the banksters & fed who are robbing us blind

From what I can see, Cain worked for the fed, strongly supported the bank bailouts, and is in favor of nationalizing the banks. 'nuff said - IMO that puts him the very root of the problem, not a potential solution.

The problem with any of these candidates is that they will say anything to get elected. Right now the country appears to be somewhat anti-politician and will vote for anyone except Obama. Cain is not a career politician and appears to be practical minded and open minded enough to look for solutions that may have not already been tried. Not saying I support him or anyone else since what I would want in a candidate isn't represented in any of these guys.

Thanks Paul. haven't looked into his background. Big supporter of the banking industry status-quo is a deal killer for me.

Paul, can you provide a link that shows Cain ( is in favor of nationalizing the banks)? Cain has been a capitalist all his life, that would be so contradictory.

just because he was a businessman doesnt make him a capitalist, those are very very different things. A businessman's principle aim is to get money; he doesnt care if it comes from the govt.

Here's a direct quote: "Earth to taxpayers! Owning stocks in banks is not nationalization of the banking industry. It´s trying to solve a problem."
"we could make a profit while solving a problem."
(those quotes are all over the net, I plucked them from here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2671125/posts )

So, um, Herman... can you show me where the constitition grants the authority for govt to make a profit? Or the resultant centralization of power... or govt sponsored business socialism ... or ... (sorry, potientially veering off on a rant!)

Here's acouple more:
http://www.unelected.org/bailout-supporter-herman-cain-dodges-questions-in-tn
http://fromthetrenchesworldreport.c...-investment”-–-how-was-that-again-herman/3943

Of course with everything political there's lots of potential for misinformation, slander, etc... mainly because theres power and money at stake. So I freely admit that those of us who dont know him personally may never know the truth. But quotes followed by flip-flops are telling IMO.
