We had a nice air leak on our Softgloss tonight turns out one of the mac valve regulators was bleeding air so I opted to replace it, sprayed the screws down with PB blaster to help with removal gave it time to soak then took out the first of 2 screws no problem then the second started unscrewing then the crippling sound and feel of the screw breaking leaving me with a stub as seen in the center of the picture. I tried every needle nose tool I had and it will not budge, there isn't a screw extractor small enough to get it and the angle is damn near impossible to get tools to, a 5 cent screw has shut my system down until I can find a way to either remove it or drill in another screw into the existing screw body. Oh and to replace the manifold assembly on a Ryko softgloss is $1,562.96 without mac valves, sorry for the rant.

One of my automatic finally had the 25 HP motor give out. Luckily I had a couple of motors and pumps laying around from old automatics. It took my son and I all day to change the 500 pound setup out. The replacement pump and motor are working like a champ. If you could get the manifold block out a good machine shop could get the screw out for you.

Getting that manifold out is a PITA, I got a set of left handed drill bits but the 1/16 is the smallest they make. Ryko needs to redesign that area to a multi-programmable air pressure system instead of multiple valves like WashWorld did on the Razor Edge.

Did you get it fixed yet? Are you up and running? When you put it back together put some Talon Copper anti-seize compound on the screw threads.

I used to work for someone who gave me a lot of grief over keeping small, oddball parts, until one Saturday we were working on his D&S 5000 and found the main driveshaft key was almost completely sheared. I had a used one in my toolbox - he never said another word about me keeping stuff like that after I kept his machine up for a busy weekend.

Well I ended up buying a whole new air manifold assembly $1,561.00 from Ryko and did all of the install and rewiring myself and that took hours to do, it was a PITA but I got it replaced. :p

I had a complete arm rotate assemble replaced 3 weeks ago on one of my Automatics. Today a guy in a pickup was able to completely destroy the gearbox and so I get to do this all over again. Glad you got yours running again. I had a friction machine like yours once with the mac valve problem and it seems like I had the same problem. If I recall correctly I bought a small mac valve manifold and rewired and replumbed just the functions that had the broken screws.

It looks to me like the manifold is made out of aluminum. I hope you used a good grade anti-seize compound on all the screws and fittings that screw into the manifold.

I kept getting a call about a Belanger Vector shutting down at random, so I turned the entry camera around to face the machine and finally saw a gust of wind catch and deposit a blob of trifoam on the underside of the rear sonar. A 2¢ screw in the top foamer hole fixed it.

yup; get the broken screw taken care of, replace the leaky air regulator and keep it on the shelf as a spare.
