The men and women serving today are as good a match as any troops we've had in the past. The problem is the idiots running the military. By that I mean their civilian bosses. I first noticed it during Clinton's term when the secretary of the army, some bimbo, thought the regular army troops felt bad because they didn't get to wear a beret like the green berets. So now everyone has a nice hat. Isn't that special. Let's be honest here. You win wars by killing people and breaking things. At least that's the way you used to win them. Now we want their hearts and minds for some reason. We have troops who get fired upon from a house with women and children in it. They can't return fire. Rules od engagement you know. Well bring back the flame throwers from WW2 and problem solved. No more coward islamic terrorists taking pot shots at us. Read a disturbing article that pointed out how the eight medals of honor awarded fro Iraq and Afganistan were all due to people saving another's life. A noble and just cause to be sure. But they used to be awarded for single soldiers killing or capturing a LOT of people. The pentagon recently floated the idea of a new medal awarded, get ready for this, for gallant restraint. I wish I was making this up. The islamic terrorists play by none of these rules. I don't think we could fight WW2 today. Could you see the indignant Brian Jennings reporting on the fire bombing of Dresden or Tokyo?

It's a little hard to fight a war with CNN on both sides of the line. Our issue is that its more profitable for some not to end the "war". We have been in Bosnia for how long?

I really wish I didn't have to report this. It was announced yesterday that a Navy captain (equivalent to the rank of General) made a video for his sailors where, gasp, he used four letter words, while deployed in a war zone. He also made sexual innuendos in the tape. No one was forced to watch this. It was a military attempt at a leader keeping the morale up. Now the perky Katie Couric is wondering on TV if this career military man should be relieved of duty. Well I for one would like to relieve her not only of her job, but her place on this planet. The Obama administration is intent on destroying the military and making it the equivalent of Meals on Wheels for broke countries. God help us all.
