Sometimes, things are not as bad as they appear. Let's Look on The Bright Side Harry Reid - bid for re-election doesn't look good
Obama destroyed the Clinton Political Machine - Driving a stake thru the Heart of Hillary's Presidential aspirations, something no Republican was ever able to do. Remember when a Hillary Presidency scared the daylights out of you?

He killed off the Kennedy Dynasty - No more Kennedys trolling Washington looking for booze and women wanting rides home. American women and freedom are safer tonight!

He is destroying the Democratic Party before our eyes!
Dennis Moore had never lost a race - quit
Evan Bayh had never lost a race - quit
Byron Dorgan - had never lost a race - quit
These are just a handful of the Democrats whose political careers Obama has destroyed! By the end of 2010 dozens more will be!
In December of 2008 the Democrats were on the rise. In the last two election cycles they had picked up 14 senate seats and 52 house seats. The press was touting the death of the Conservative Movement and the Republican Party.

In one year Obama put a stop to all of this and will probably give the house, if not the senate back to the Republicans.

He has completely exposed liberals and progressives for what they are.
Every generation seems to need to relearn the lesson on why they should never actually put liberals in charge. He is bringing home the lesson very well!
Liberals tax, borrow and spend - check
Liberals won't bring themselves to protect America - check
Liberals want to take over the economy - check
Liberals think they know what is best for everyone - check
Liberals aren't happy till they are running YOUR life - check

He has brought more Americans back to conservatism than anyone since Reagan. In one year he rejuvenated the Conservative Movement and brought out to the streets millions of Freedom Loving Americans.
Name me one other time in your life that you saw your friends and neighbors this interested in taking back America !

In all honesty, one year ago I was more afraid than I had ever been in my life. Not of the economy, but of the direction our country was going. I thought Americans had forgotten what this country was all about. My neighbors, friends, strangers proved to me that my lack of confidence of the greatness and wisdom of the American people was flat out wrong.

When the American People wake up, no smooth talking teleprompter reader can fool them! Obama woke up these Great Americans.
Thank you Obama!

Continues

So, Lets Recap "2009".........what a year!, would you not agree?

1. The American people inaugurate a half-Arab president with a total of 142 days experience as a US Senator from the most politically corrupt state (city) in America whose governors have been ousted from office. The President's first official act is to order the close of Gitmo and make sure terrorist’s civil rights are not violated. (Honest mistake?)

2. The U.S. Congress rushes to confirm a black Attorney General, Eric Holder, whose law firm we later find out represents seventeen Gitmo Terrorists. (An honest mistake?)

3. The CIA Boss appointee, Leon Panetta, has absolutely no experience.

4. We got the second most corrupt American woman (Pelosi is #1) as Secretary of State; bought and paid for. (You can put lipstick on a pig, but it still stinks!)

5. We got a Tax Cheat for Treasury Secretary who did not properly file his own taxes for 12 years. (He misspoke!)

6. A Commerce Secretary nominee who withdrew due to corruption charges. (Another honest mistake?)

7. A Tax cheat nominee for Chief Performance Officer who withdrew under charges. (Hmmm...Another screw-up?)

8. A Labor Secretary nominee who withdrew under charges of unethical conduct. (Ok, maybe this person was just plain stupid.)

9. A Secretary HHS nominee (Daschle) who withdrew under charges of cheating on his taxes. (I'm running out of excuses for these idiots!!)

10. Multiple appointments of former lobbyists after an absolute campaign statement that no lobbyists would be appointed. (Dear God, I am getting a headache!)

All this occurred just during the first three weeks. . . But who's counting?

America is being run by the modern-day Three Stooges; Barry, Nancy and Harry and they are still trying to define stimulus..."it's spending!!!"

The congress passes the $800,000,000,000 (that's $800 billion) pork-loaded spending bill where the government gives you a smidgen of your tax dollars ($13 per week), making you feel so good about yourself [stimulated], that you want to run out to Wal-Mart and buy a new Chinese-made HDTV!

Here's the good news though - Obama took Air Force One to Denver to sign the stimulus package, wasting as much as 10,000 gallons of fuel OR 24 JOBS FOR ONE YEAR.

Obama went to the International Olympic Committee to have them choose Chicago for a host city - he failed
Obama went to Copenhagen to lecture them on global warming - he failed
Obama went to New Jersey to promote the Democratic candidate for governor - he failed
Obama went to Virginia to promote the Democratic candidate for governor - he failed
Obama went to Massachusetts to promote the Democratic candidate for senator - he failed

Obama has now been president for a full year and yet he & wife (first lady) Michelle, the Christian family they claim to be, have not attended church since the inauguration.

Obama is the 1st president in history who did not attend any Christmas religious observance. He must miss Reverend Wright!

And finally, he is the 1st president to remain on vacation after a terrorist attack ( Ft. Hood ).

At least he can blame George Bush for everything he's done!! I still would like to know where the $400 million for his political campaign came from in $20 donations. Almost everyone i know has a better resume to be president than him. Our states token Dem Byron Dorgan has never lost an election- He has brought home alot of pork to our state of republicans. He is quitting most likely because of Obama. We may not like all the replacements but most likely almost everyone in office will be replaced.

While Obama hasn't lived up to expectations, or promises for that matter, let's not overlook what was inherited from an inept Republican President and corrupt administration.

-Lack of regs and proper oversight of the GREEDY financial machine allowing the rape and pillaging the stock & housing markets. Where's the equity in stock traders making millions through computer generated trades
-Unnecessary and fraudulent war(s) and the deficit created by it. My 26 yr old nephew was knocking down over 200K of our tax dollars-tax free-working for a security "contractor" in Iraq. How's he going to assimilate back into the real world?
- Contracts to cronies.
-Tax cuts that favored the rich, throwing the rest of us a placation bone.
-An infrastructure rapidly decaying while we spend money abroad restoring countries we've damaged for no good reason

The Right has a knack for making Americans feel and spend like they're wealthy when most are only well-off. That keeps the process churning and they get richer. The left just wants to spread it around.

The difference between wealthy and well-off is having to work. If not working doesn't affect your standard of living, you might be among the top 1-5%; congratulations! Most of this country is a catastrophic health event or job loss short of disaster. And who pays for that?

Extremism serves only to polarize. There's way too much "us and them" going on. We're all in it together, so it behooves us all to figure out what's fair and share.

Remember the old saying: He who dies with the most toys (or biggest pile),.....is still DEAD.

I believe that Bush wanted to regualate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. It was Chris Dodd and the dems who shot it down. Lets not forget who ruled congress for the last 2 years of the Bush administration. The president doesn't have much power unless the congress gives it to him. It was under Bush that the stock market saw record levels. It was after the dems took over congress that the economy went to hell. Now they sit back and blame Bush when it was their policies that created the mess in the first place. Take a look at their new banking bill they are trying to shove through. They left out what started the mess in the first place Fannie, and Freddie. That should tell you their not serious about fixing the problem.

sparky, thanks for a reasoned response to Mr Clean. I am always amused when someone says that the president did this or that. Until this bozo from Chicago came in, no president could rule by fiat. The congress has to pass a law or budget and the pres signs it. Put the blame where it is due. What the blazes is wrong with tax cuts fir the rich? The top 5% of wage earners pay 40% of all federal taxes, while earning about 13% of all profits. The bottom half of our country pay NO federal taxes and just suck what they can from the people who make things work. Until the poor start hiring people for jobs, let the wealthy alone. The money they have does not mean that I can't make more.

Let's also not forget that Obama told GM to shut down the Saturn line. That's because Saturn was non union. There is a closed Saturn dealership by my house that the owner put several millions on the line to open, only to have the government shut him down. Obama also had Chrysler close several hundred dealerships. Many of these had been in the family for three generations, and were profitable. Too bad. I saw a report that showed many of the closed ones contributed to republican candidates, but could not verify it. Obama also put the UAW ahead of the secured bondholders in the GM bankruptcy fifing. That had NEVER been done before. Too bad for the greedy investors. I have predicted that this Chicago thug will not serve out his first term. Not because of an assination, but because the country will reach a tipping point and the peasants will be at the gate with torches and pitchforks. What galls me is the way the democrats follow him in lockstep.

I don't think that Obama is really calling the shots. He is a creation of the well-funded far left. Think about it. How much do we really know about him and his background - very little? He was carefully selected by this group that managed his image so he could get elected. He is not that intelligent. His academic record has been hidden. He is lost without a teleprompter. When he talks off the cuff he stumbles for words or ideas. He is a pawn for the unions and an ideologue. His appointments are mostly far left zealots. They will try to push as much of their agenda through before the Fall when this group knows they may not have the votes in Congress to get anything done.

"We're all in it together, so it behooves us all to figure out what's fair and share" What a load of B.S. Who shared my investment? Who shares my losses? Who shares my Sunday night phone calls from drunk customers? Who shares my responsibilities? My Liabilities? My stress? My workload? Who shares their time with me so that I can have some family time? Who shared 70 hour workweeks that I have been putting in for the last 40 years? Who shared the fun of an armed robbery at one of my businesses? I have worked my a$$ off to get where I am and NO ONE deserves a piece of it. I can, and do, decide who should get any help from me (physical or financial), and comrade Obama can keep his hands off of anything that I EARN.

"The American Republic will endure, until politicians realize they can bribe the people with their own money" ~ Alexis de Tocqueville (1835)

I have heard that he was groomed for this by powers in the middle east. Don't know if that is true or not, but certainly is feasible.

There certainly seems to be a puppet master pulling the strings. Lister to some of Glen Beck's reports on his connections with George Soros. Joe McCarthy got it right many years ago. The communists and socalists are amongst us and are trying to destroy us from within. Again, the sad part is how the democrat party is happily going along with this agenda. Does anyone remember the last time a democrat lowered capital gains tax, put the dollar back on the gold standard, and looked the Ruskies in the eye, and didn't blink? That was JFK believe it or not. Today he would be a radical tea party member.

While in Dubai, I met and was talking with a man from Iran, we were talking about our Presidents. He made an interesting comment.

"Look at the puppeteer not the puppet".
