Tubes, tires for LW 4000 recommendations

Folks,

I am looking to buy some tubes and tires for my LW 4000. Do you have any recommendations of brand/type tires and tubes I should be looking for? I like reliable : ).

Kleen- rite sells rims and Tires ,Tubes for cheap same quality brand Kelly tires as PDQ. The Key to these tires is keeping a spare tube tire and rim at your carwash and them pumped up around 25-30psi.

Take a spare tire and go and talk to your local car tire carriers. There is nothing special about the tires for the LW 4000 and High Velocity. You can get them from lot of places like farm supply stores, some small hardware stores, and Grainger. The tire is used on certain wheel barrows and hand carts.

In our area you can go to most tire stores and get what you need. In our area Discount Tire will order it if they don't have it on hand. I also found that in some cases you can extend the life of the tire by having an inner tube inside.

Contact jamey22@msn.com for a solid tire option. We have been using them for years. Only problem you would have is that in really cold weather they will slip on the rim. If you have doors on your iba you will not have a problem.

FWIW I've been buying tires and inner tubes, the exact same ones that Belanger sells, from a lawn equipment seller on eBay for about 1/4 the price.

If you buy a cart or wheel barrow setup they will be on steel wheels, my HV and I believe all the car wash suppliers have them on Stainless Steel wheels!! I just had a cracked wheel I had to replace, I got them from my local tire shop.

That is a very popular size in the L&G industry. Sten's Lawnmower Parts is a great supplier. We used to deal with them when I was in that business.

I wouldnt put it on there if its not a stainless wheel. Just me but they are hard enough to get on and off!!!

My wheel is fine, but tire is very cracked. Should I just replace the tire, & leave wheel & tube intact? They're actually holding air pretty good, though. They just look rough on the sides...

Also, odd question: Does it prolong the life of the tires if you periodically put some tire foam on them...?

If there are cracked replace them before they become a an issue. In a Sunday morning pinch I bought a couple of tires at Harbor Freight. They lasted just as long as the tires from PDQ did. I don’t think adding tire foam to the tires will make them last any longer. Tires on the Laser 4000 are a pretty normal wear item, along with injectors.

Tire Foam won't do any good. You might try a solvent based tire dressing instead of a water based one.. They handle detergents better but can also dry out the rubber with continual use.
