Does your soap guy know what he's doing? Getting chemicals right is the key to fast washing, since you are giving up some on dwell time in exchange for speed. Since the program allows you to set it up as you want to, let us know how the passes are configured and the obvious stuff: heated soap? soft water? location? What you see that makes you consider poor quality? Did you have the same chemical with a previous touchless machine with different results?

Does it have the two step presoak option? I'm sure this is unrelated but the air requirement is 35 CFM @ 100 psi. Would that have to be a 10 HP compressor?

I am currently setting up a new XP and wash quality is fantastic. Do you know the titrations your chemicals are at with the blendco test kit? How far are the nozzles from the vehicle surface? Do the wands need moving in? maybe travel speed is too fast. Lastly if it is a new install, are your nozzles blocked with install debris?

What is your pass configuration? If you are doing a 2 step, you need to make sure the 2nd pass is higher titration than the first or the 2nd one won't work at all. In a low then high setup, the one most in charge of cleaning dirt (alkaline) must be strong enough to neutralize the acid, and build the pH up enough to activate the surfactants. Heat makes it work faster. Which blendco products are you using?

Simplest thing to do would be to change the program to run the Presoak plus w hph both passes and not even use the Rhino Brite. That way you remove the possibility of your chemicals fighting themselves. If you can get clean cars after that, you just have a soap setup problem. Also make sure you aren't using rocker blaster or any water functions too early so that the chemicals have a little bit of time to soak.

Can you be more specific: Is the problem with paint, glass or both? Hi Hi should clean paint well.

I have had those two blendco products in my wash before and it is a capable product if strong enough. IIRC I had to get the powder to around 35 drops to break through the film. Do you recall your numbers? I also recommend getting a titration kit. If anyone complains of cleaning the first thing I do is titrate the high ph and check the feed water hardness.

I'll also say that I'm not familiar with the XP, but I have a lot more faith in the touchfree ability of a water wizard 2.0 than most machines I've seen that try to use different techniques to impinge the surface of the vehicle.

What did you change to? 2 step now with new supplier? Surprises me if so, unless you changed how the program passes are configured also...
