Hi all,

I'v just started researching the car wash industry to see if investing in a car wash is right for me. I connected with one manufacturer who provided me with an ROI analysis. Based on 22k daily traffic count and the population for 1,3, and 5 miles as well as the closest competitor being 4.4 miles away. The ROI analysis showed a yearly through put of 60k cars. Is that even possible with one IBA? There were definitely parts of the product I liked, so that's why I contacted them, but for some reason that number seems high to me. I'm curious to see what others think of that number and if its realistic or not.

It's possible with one IBA, but at six minutes per wash on average it will have to be washing cars 20 hours a day, every day. You'll never achieve that.

Seems like they may be giving you the potential car count for the site if you had multiple bays and everything go right, not for a single Iba.

It does sound like you have a solid site with no competition and 22k road count!

No way in hel you're gonna wash 60,000 cars/yr.
I know MULTIPLE tunnel wash guys, who do good, & don't wash 60k cars!

Thanks everyone. I thought that count seemed high for an IBA. Wonder if a mini tunnel is a better option?

At 60k cars per year, you would be replacing that machine every 3-4 years. That would be a happy problem.

That unit is super fast and it’s pricey. 2 pumps stations so both arms have high pressure. Washes a car in like 2 minutes

Wow! That has to be the worst promotional video ever. I quit watching after a minute or so. Was there a dryer in there somewhere? I'm guessing that maybe one flew by and I missed it...

On the outside camera view, it looks like they have an exit gate too. I don’t really see a need for an exit gate. Just something else for the customer to brake when they get skittish and leave early. Might even slow some people down.

I'd like to see how clean it gets the cars.

With a Belanger Vector I was not able to get the top wash package under 8 minutes and get a clean car.
