All's quiet on the western front, as they say. No word from Mia, her attorney, or the Boyds. I'm kind of disappointed. I think Mia could provide some interesting reading. If you are following this Mia and would like to contact me privately, you can do so through this site. If in our discussion, I am informed of your innocence, as you claim, I think that the webmaster would have no problem removing your name. As it is now, anyone who Googles "Barry Boyd" will get this thread, and your name, for many years to come.

C'mon guys, this isn't that hard. You Florida guys just start calling him and have him running from one end of the state to the other giving estimates you don't need, then, back, then back, then back...

Wait a sec, then he might come to Texas. Never mind.

barry and shon boyd scams

Hello Mac and other ppl out there that were scammed by Barry and Shon Boyd,,I cannot tell you how much money i have lost with them and there lies
and having there family members at the time lie for them weather they knew about the scams or not is not for me to say, I only know that Barry and Shon not only signed promissory notes and contracts with me, they lied about everything they were doing and even sent fraud letters to me from bankers if you can only imagine that.. they kept me holding on and told me to keep paying my notes that we were closing any day,,,well sad to say we never closed anything at least not to my knowledge.. I have the feds involved as well as others, and i cannot reveal anything right now to much , all i can say is stay away from them and anyone they have or had contact with in the past.YOU will be sorry if YOU don't... They LIE,STEAL,Cheat, there horrible horrible people.
anyway care to respond ,,or if you want to be part of a possible case
let me know.. maybe we can bring the
Entire family down and all who KNEW what was going on at that time.

I would hope that anyone seeking legal action against the Boyds have their attorney visit this page. He has left a long trail. I did a background search on him that looked at lawsuits he was involved in and foung about 20 of them. And remember, if there were 20 lawsuits, there were most likely many times that who never filed. Why not lookup the boys who shot up his former house and give them his new address?

A little update. Someone claiming to be a relative of Mia asked to have her name removed from this posting. Seems that when you google her namr, this fraud thing comes up first. Ain't the internet great? This person mentioned legal reprecussions. I would love to talk to a $300/hr suit about this and run up her bill. Told her if Mia would help a prosecutor put the Boyds away, we would throw her a party and make her honary queen of the forum.

Well, one good thing about the actual obits, you get all of the names of relatives that you might want to avoid doing business with.

Debra Kay Boyd of Destin, FL., sons and daughter-in-law, Brock Boyd of Birmingham, AL., Shon and JoJanna Boyd of Cincinatti, OH., brothers, Cecil Boyd of Smiths Station, Allen Boyd and Terry Boyd of Phenix City, sister, Sheila Milner of Phenix City, grandchildren, Clayton and Corbyn Boyd,

Reminds me of the comment that he was so crooked he would be screwed into the ground rather than buried. I am surprised that the name Madoff didn't appear in the relations.

What is really amazing about this story is how something like this managed to go on for as long as it did.

Did people stick their heads in the sand to conduct due diligence?

Based on the stories, it appears that these people actually delivered at least "some" of the equipment they sold throughout the hijinks.

What equipment was it?

What OEM or regional sales director would allow their company's reputation to be tainted by dealing with someone having an alleged history of being so unscrupulous?

Where was the stewardship?

Bob, this is the same question I have asked myself many times. There are a number of individuals with checkered pasts that have thrived in our industry. It seems that either some OEMs or District Reps either have short memories or are so anxious to sell their products that they would deal with the devil to do so. The real puzzle here is that these individuals not only cheated their customers but also the OEMs out of money with their dealings on many occasions with impunity.

Unfortunately in today's tight economy and slow sales, companies are really vulnerable to individuals like this even more than in the past. Let's hope that reason and intelligence takes precedence over the need for sales.
