Unitec C Start with Ryko automatic

Does anyone know in a Unitec will work with an older Ryko? I think it's their Soft Gloss. Righ now it has the famous Ryko Code a wash with their interface for gas sales.

Yes, a Unitec can interface to older Softgloss machines, but how it is installed will vary slightly depending on vintage of the machine.

If your machine is old enough where you have separate inputs for the various wash options (wheel scrub, dry, 1 pass wash, wax, etc.), then you will need to install a Wash Combination Selector to work properly.

If your machine is slightly newer and you have inputs for different wash packages (package 1, package 2, etc.), then it wouldn't require the wash combination selector, and the outputs from the Unitec can directly be wired to those inputs. If this is the case, someone will need to go into the program and edit the wash program bits to setup the wash packages using an HPP (technicians will carry these).

In either case, there will be a setup question (Other Arming?) that will need to be changed to "YES".

The "Code-A-Wash" is the component inside the kiosk that generates codes and sells the packages, so there is no way to add a card reader. If you are asking about the older style hex-headed coinbox that we used to sell as a Code-A-Wash III Coinbox, I'm sorry, but those units were never developed with a card reader option.

On some of those older-style coinboxes, we have had some sites install an RFID reader (Xpress-Wash) and tie those into a coin mech to activate the machine, but I don't know of anyone that's developed an auxiliary card reader for them.

For the AMTT, AMTT-CS, PaySmart and Enteract coinboxes, we can have a card reader option, and we use a device called InstaGuard which handles card processing.

Are these instaguard boxes still available or any manuals for them? I have one location that has that but cant find anything for it. It does look like 3 cables go into a 9 pin serial cable and then converts over to a ribon cable to the i/o board
