There was a recent post in General Discussions asking if water usage can be used to estimate wash volumes at a site. Most people think that it isn?t a good indicator for this kind of information. There have been posts over the years on this forum with a similar question. Now we offer a new ?prediction? tool.

We learned this new ?prediction tool? and operating technique from a customer that installed a ShurVend Vending Center at his wash with an e-Port credit card system installed. He chose to get the daily email reports from his vending center provided by USA Technologies as part of their $9.95 monthly fee. This report tells him how many of each product are sold each day (inventory control) and the breakdown of cash sales and credit card sales which gives him the total sales for the day.

Over a short period of time he has learned that he can look at his daily vendor report and closely correlate his vending sales with the total wash revenue for the same day. So now he can see what kind of day the wash had the day before just by looking at his emailed morning vendor report. That?s a pretty good way to watch your wash without having to install a very expensive monitoring system to get real time numbers.
