ShurVend has always invited feedback on our vendors from the customer?s experiences so we can improve our products. We have continued to design changes to make our vendors more ?Operator and User Friendly? so they can be installed and operated easily. One of our customer?s described our vendors as ?plug and play?. That is a term that I like; take delivery of the vendor, install it where you want it, plug it into power, and start selling products to your customers. That is the way it should be done!!

Our own experience as car wash operators started us out with the ?Guaranteed Delivery? vendor design, a security cage to protect the vendor from theft and vandalism, the polycarbonate/acrylic sandwich for the vendor windows, a stainless mask to protect the money handling and control panel of the vendor, and a Starter Kit of products placed in the vendor. Our first customers were working too hard during installation lining up the vendor controls and cage door cutouts by trial and error so we finally bolted the vendor and cage together as a unit so it installed easily and everything lined up correctly. We redesigned the original cage to eliminate all the pry points and make it aesthetically more appealing at the car wash site.

The car wash shows were (and are) a great place to talk to our customers and get their feedback on any new design that we tried. Believe me it didn?t take long for the weak spots in any design to get pointed out to us. Little by little and tweak by tweak we redesigned our product line so we can say with some confidence now that all our vendors can be purchased ready to ?PLUG AND PLAY? at the wash.

We added all manner of payment systems and new technology to the product line as it was developed, so now we can offer almost any configuration of car wash products, bottled and/or canned drinks, large or small size bottles or aerosols, and snacks and candy to boot. One of the most recent requests from operators is the vending of token notes and gift cards to their customers from the vending machine at the convenience of the customer.

We continue to invite feedback from our customers or any others that may have an observation on our product line. There are no ?dumb questions or comments? that are made by current or potential customers; only a different perspective of looking at what a vending center can do.

Hope to see many of you in Las Vegas in April.

Uncle Sam :)
