We hear from customers from time to time about the wash site promotions they run to increase their wash sales volume using their 24/7 ShurVend machine. We pass these ideas along to you for your consideration on your wash site(s).

1. A customer in Pennsylvania has 2 identical washes in the same town with the same ShurVend model at each wash. At Site #1 the vendor produced monthly income that was always 30% higher than at Site #2. Our customer began to rubber band a $1 bill to the front of a car wash product at random in the machine; when chosen the customer got the product and the $1 bill. It didn’t take long before both vendors were producing the same sales volume each month even after deducting for the $1 bills given away. The operator said he has seen customers buy the package in front of the one with the $1 bill just to get the one with the money.

2. Another operator that uses tokens in his wash has taped a $1 token to packages in the vendor randomly so the customer gets the free token to use in the other equipment at the wash. It doesn’t take long for word to get around the customer base.

3. An idea that is really beginning to catch on is the vending of gift cards, VIP cards, Loyalty cards, and token packs/token notes that present a great value to the customers at a wash site. Having a credit card reader installed in the ShurVend vendor makes it very easy to sell these gift cards, etc for values from $20 up to $100 each.

4. Lastly the new software in the ShurVend machine provides the owner a chance to program the vendor for an option called the ?Prize?. This is a program that the operator can set from 1-9999 to vend the Prize selection to the customer and then return the money to the customer. Let?s say the operator wants every 30th vend in the whole machine to be given to the customer free. He enters ?30? in the proper place. The machine keeps track of the total number of vends and then returns the money on the 30th vend. A word of caution---If you are selling a high dollar item like a token pack or gift card in the machine, you don?t want to do the ?Prize? option.

Promotions like the above allow an operator to create a ?fun place? to wash cars using very little energy and allowing customers to benefit financially in a random manner. Nothing sells like ?free? in times like these.
