I am pretty sure it’s an accumulating timer but right now the IMONEX coin acceptor only has two wires coming off it and the slugbuster that will take a token has four and only use 3 normally. What do you do with the purple wire on the slugbuster than normally goes to the coin counter

Here is a pic of the relay/timer

Imonex makes a mechanical acceptor that takes quarters and .984" diameter tokens, problem is it will take all tokens that size. The easiest conversion is to use a multi-coin electronic acceptor and replace the timer with a GS-409 timer. If you want to avoid taking other tokens you have to change to an electronic acceptor.
I take the Purple wire, that is never used and cut it shorter and put a cap on the end on it. I take all the other wires and wind them up around the shaft of a Philips screw driver so it looks like a spring when you pull the screw driver out. What do you do with the purple wire on the slugbuster than normally goes to the coin counter
