I've operated as many as 23 vacuums at my locations over the last 20 years and this was a first...
A kid brought his newly purchased vehicle to the wash to clean out a mess in his trunk area. Unfortunately, the "mess" was a large amount of spilled starter fluid in his trunk area. It took 7 seconds from cycle start-up to fire ignition. We have great neighbors next door and they tried to use an extinguisher on the fire, but the only way it would have been effective is if they would've aimed it down the suction side of the vacuum nozzle. This incident resulted in a fire and police response.
Sure glad the stainless-steel domes were on and not the plastic ones.
