Vacuum Motors Melted!!

Ok I replaced one of these motors in March and I noticed the vacuum wasn't sucking real good. So I open the top and two of the motors are melted and I see why.

It seems the motors have been sucking the trash into the motors because the vents at the bottom were packed plum full of vacuum trash.

What would cause this? I know I am going to have to get three whole new motors but I don't want to put them on if it is going to do the same thing and suck the trash

into them. Could it be bad wiring?

Or the filter bags are not in correctly if they are like the JE Adams bags that have the plastic band that needs compressed out of round to get to fit in the hole.

And the bags aren’t a bit over a year old. I emptied the clean out the day I checked the motors and shook the bags out and the hook on one was broken so I zip tied it back up. But I usually try to keep them clear.

I probably need to buy all new bags when I buy all new motors. But since the bags are in the machine and only one was broke loose what else could it be do you think?

If the bags are that new and motors are sucking in trash you have a bad seal around where bag is installed. or a hole in a bag allowing trash to get to motors . Otherwise that cannot happen. I would also suggest a screen below each motor but if you are bypassing trash that will get clogged quickly and motor can overheat if you don't notice lack of suction first. Bags should last many years. . You should not need to change. with each motor.
