Vacuum Spacing!

Hello,

My express conveyor wash building is 135 feet long my width of my lot is 75 feet. My building is 35 feet wide and I have 45 feet in width to allow vehicles to stack as well as 3 vacuum islands that run parallel along the building on that same side. I’m considering adding more vacuums but this time utilizing angle parking. How many spots and at what dimensions should I consider? I’m thinking about 8 to 10 vacuums. I’m not considering at this time a central vacuum system because I would rather charge for the vacuums. I can always convert the vacuums to offer free at a later date. I’m tight on the clearance for vacuums and as well as stacking area. Any thoughts?

If you keep the VAcs at the building and use the framework where the hoses go up and over yousave the space of not having a 2 foot island between the cars. http://www.tommycarwash.com/portfolio/#/Vacuum System/Canister Vacuums/

I think the angle also saves some space because the open door on the DS of one doesn't exactly line up with the open door of the PS of the car next to it.

Best practice is to apply 20 percent against building length or 27 vacuum parking spaces.

75’ wide lot less 35’ wide building less, say, 12’ wide entrance lane leaves roughly 28’ wide for vacuum parking space.

So, you do not have enough area/space for two parallel rows of 13 vacuum spaces each 18’ to 20’ deep plus navigation lane.

Vacuum lane at full-service is 14’ wide. Perpendicular space at express is 13’ wide and angled parking space is usually 12.5’ wide.

135/14 = 9 spaces

135/13 = 10 spaces

135/12.5 = 11 spaces
