Vector Super Heater

We have six vectors. Two of them have the Super Heater option which is the pre soak heater mounted directly above the bay. The advantage being hotter pre soak for the cars. They also help keep the manifold, check valves hoses etc from freezing by wrapping insulation around them and the heater and containing the heat.
We just had one of the elements go bad. These suckers are $1050 to replace. They are 208v 3ph 12KW stainless steel elements. Has any one replaced one of these? Is there a cheaper alternative? They look like an element from a hot water tank but longer. Hard to believe they're over a grand! But like everything from Belanger, you get raked over the coals for replacement parts. Would appreciate any suggestions or if you have one that works, you want to sell

Wouldn't a grand get you close to the cost of a small instant hot water heater powered by gas? Then you could use that to heat your presoak.

Just saying, $1000+ for a heating element is way too much. Maybe possible to use a smaller size; as long as the thread size is correct and the voltage, right?

An on-demand heater will work, but it would have to be put inline on the water supply before the manifold so the presoak doesn't run through it.
