Hey guys I'm very interested in owning a business. I have always been interested in the car was industry and thinking about taking a shot on one. I just turned 30 and have been released by my current employer. Instead of moping and being ****ed I'm going to use it as an opportunity to take a shot at my own business. I'm looking to get into an existing was for about 150k. I'm located in North Jersey and the wash is in a upscale area on a main road. The broker states about 18k a month sales and 11500k expense. So on too my original question can anyone reccomend a consultant, lawyer, etc...to help me really dive into these numbers and see what if anything the business is worth?? Any help is appreciated. Thank you

So the guy trying to sell it to you claims that it is less than a 2 year payback? I'll take 10! and I suspect your broker would to if that were true. Who would sell a business which nets $78,000 per year for $150,000?

Exactly! This is why I need some help getting this verified. It's the broker told me all the listing info haven't talked to seller. There is actually a couple around here listed with the same numbers. I figured too good to be true but have to take a look. Hoping once I make the appt to visit he has tax returns and other documents supporting this.

Sounds like your on the correct path. How many bays and what's in them? All self serve? Automatics?

3 bays. Not self serve full service hand car wash. The info he gave just said hand car wash with employees payroll costing $6647 Parking for 30+ cars. All I have to go off of is the listing hopefully gonna get a appt this week. I'm looking to hire an expert in this field just so I'm not wasting my time. Rent is 3200.

You could also contact Robert Roman. He did some work for me when I was starting out in the carwash business and he was very helpfull.
