Anyone dealt with Security Cameras Direct for their surveillance needs? I have a quote from Carwash Cameras but it is quite a bit higher for my needs at my 4/2 wash. Any info would be appreciated.

The quote is likely higher because of the DVR. The Vertex from CWC is a very nice DVR, I just put one in my store, worth the money! CWC does have less expensive DVR's that will work, just without all of the bells and whistles. Try calling Jennifer at CWC and she can explain it better than I can.

I belive Galen here on the forum has been selling camera systems for the past couple of years. He might be worth a shot.
The security camers market is changing rapidly, which means costs are coming down. You can go to Office Depot and get a four camera system for 500 now. You do need to be aware what you are buying to make good comparisons. I have a customer who wanted to rent a video system to catch someone fooling with a site. Told him to go to Bass Pro Shops and get their battery powered, motion activated digital camera for about 200. It fit his needs exactly.

For the record, Galen got pi$$ed off at me for deleting one of his post and said that he'd never be back. So you would need to track him down.
While we're on the subject, does anyone have a recommendation/experience for a certain kind of phone (such as i phone) to monitor a camera system? Any advice for those of us who are a little technologically challenged in this area?
