I saw on my worldpay statement that visa is starting to charge .10 cents per transaction fallback fee. This is for sites that have 10% or more fallback transactions. From what I have read, fallback transactions are ones where the chip was not read to process said transaction. I was about to install cryptopay at another of my locations but now I am wondering about other options. Any input on this?

Today I inquired about this issue and just received this response from a Cryptopay supervisor. Should be fine but will monitor statements moving forward.

They wrote:

Good Morning David,

Thanks for sending this over. Shouldn't affect you as our card readers are not chip capable. You have 0 fallback transactions using CryptoPay hardware according to the definition from Visa that proceeds.

According to Visa:
Fallback transactions are those initiated in the card-present environment involving contact chip cards at chip-capable terminals, however, chip technology is not used to capture the card data.

Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns
