Howdy y’all, I have tried about everything to get these walls clean. Do most of you use some acid or some other secret ingredients to get these things white again? Also, do you buy signage locally or order online?

I couldn't find anyone local that would do a decent job for a reasonable price, so I found someone to order from online. They're pretty good, except they're sloppy (They get dirt between the layers and they can't get their equipment adjusted to cut a round hole. I recently found a company in a neighboring town that does excellent work at a good price, so I can bring them stuff we can measure and get layouts right without a problem.

You can try muriatic acid. It’s pretty dangerous so be very careful.

We use Nu Wall cleaner from Arcadian https://www.arcadianservices.com/chemicals/nu-wall/ as with any industrial cleaner you want to use it with respect as it is dangerous. Use proper precautions and you'll be OK.

These wall cleaners work pretty well, but it gets to a point that you get so far into the panel that they become porous and will not stay clean for long at all. Not sure how old your panels are.
I pulled off all of mine that were about 20 years old a few years back. I have been painting the walls ever since. I paint them every other year. It has been working well for me. Looks cleaner and brighter.

Don't paint your bay walls if you can possibly avoid it. You'll create a new point of regular and expensive maintenance you'll never be able to stop. Your paneling is a little dingy but it still looks pretty good. I would either replace it or take it down and leave it off.

I'd try the nu-wall first. It's "magic" ingredient is hydrofluoric acid. products with the same active ingredient are sold at a variety of industrial chemical suppliers and generally marketed as aluminum brightener. It needs to be used by responsible people and treated with respect.
Arcadian has a simple, solid line for SS car washing. If you are new I'd stay away from hyperconcentrates and other mix on site products. You can experiment later.
I'd definitely clean the FRP and maintain it until it becomes impractical. I would personally replace with extrutech, but I think it gets brittle in the cold and is also subject to vandalism so not everyone is a fan.

I remember the first self serve I worked at - the owner gave me a scrub brush and a bottle of dawn and said “clean the bay walls”. Either he didn’t know wall cleaners existed or he wanted to get the most out of the $3.25/hr. I was getting paid back in 1985.

WashNshine, almost positive 1985 minimum was $3.35/hr!!! Ha. I remember a couple jobs I had in mid 80s, all paying that amount. A dime was a big difference then. Ha

I worked @ Solo Cup factory 1 Summer, 10pm ---6am, went to college, then JC Penney. I make $3.43/hr, cause I worked the GRAVEYARD! A freakin 8 cent raise! WTH?!!

RENEW equipment cleaner from C.A.R. products works well. We spray on with pump up sprayer, brush it around using an old foam brush, let it dwell 5 minutes, then rinse off with hot water. It does the trick no matter how dirty the walls are.

Any wall cleaner that has HF as a ingredient will clean unbelievably but I will NEVER use a product with HF in it.
