has anyone tried this in a touchless??; Apply one pre-soak and rinse it off with high pressure. Follow that with another presoak then rinse that with high pressure. I'm curious as to the potential for better cleaning versus two presoak's in a row followed by high pressure. Thoughts?

Seems like everyone believes the 2 PS gives much more dwell = better cleaning.

I set up a cycle like that on a Belanger Vector to test on lightly muddy vehicles. It didn't clean as well as the regular 2-pass washes. It did do slightly better on the heavy dirt, but it didn't do much on the road grime.

What about 3, 4, or 5 passes of a good high ph presoak? Has anyone tried that? I've got plenty of room to add some chemical, water and energy cost to the wash that is priced at $20.

I really want to wow the customer on my top pkg and make it unbeatable. With the WW Razor, I could add a pass or 2 of chemical through the production arch and make it a fast process, combined with 2 passes though the L arch for thorough vehicle coverage.

Will this process get me an amazing result?

>>>>FWIW, my 15 y.o. Superior machine does 2 passes of high ph presoak on the top $15 package and we get very few complaints of low wash quality.

3,4 or 5 passes of presoak probably won’t do any more. It’s the law of diminishing returns - there comes a point when adding “more” stops increasing results/benefit - the chemical and dwell will only do so much no matter how much is put on.

I also think there is more “wow” factor in variety. Customers who see foaming polish, carnauba wax, clear coat sealer, ceramic sealer, wheel and tire cleaner , undercarriage , etc. see the value because of the sheer number and variety of services - and that is how you get them to $20.

I don’t think 4 passes of presoak will be an attention getter. It is just more of the same.

As far as amping up the cleaning- even if more passes got you a cleaner car I think the basic cleaning ability of your lowest wash should be just as good as the basic cleaning ability of your top wash. The difference should like in all of the extra services. $20 shouldn’t make the basic cleaning of the body of the car better - it should give you all the extra shine/protect and seal options. The only extra cleaning I like to see in the upper packages is the wheels and undercarriage.
