Wash select ii printer not communicating

Customer said it was printing blank receipts. Now it wont do anything. It says not communicating or hardware error. Anyone encountered this before?

Jen already talked to tech support. Was hoping there was a something someone else had encountered on these. I hate to spend $1400.00 for something that prints receipts.

I didn't try a cable. I finally went ahead and ordered a new printer.

I've had a couple of cable go bad. Apparently opening and closing the door on the unit causes a little stress on them.

I hope you didn't spend $1400 on it! If you did, package it up and send it back. RDM electronics has Seiko printers with the driver board for $475 and it comes with a 90 day warranty. When mine went bad I looked into upgrading to the Hecon printer. When I got the price from Unitec I had a good laugh and ordered these from RDM.
