Wash-Tec Fault

Hi all im a newbie here which is quite good as it makes me feel young lol.

Anyway we have machines from Wash -Tec and have a fault on our second Jet Wash machine it originally said NO WATER so we changed the float which cleared that fault but now it says this, we try the switch but nothing happens so looked at panel which shows this.......

Is your run switch in the run position? Maybe your run switch went bad? Looks like PLC shows error and alarm ligh on. Have you tried power cycling to reset?

Power cycling is where you turn the power off for a few seconds and then turn it back on. When I do it, I will turn it off for about 30 seconds before I turn it back on.

Ah Sound-Boi thanks yes I’ve done that switched off left for few minutes back on but unfortunately made no difference, sorry I didn’t know the term

Ok, you'll have to figure out why you are getting a run switch off message if your switch is in the run position, then continue troubleshooting. That could be your whole problem. A quick test would be to bypass the switch temporarily to determine if a bad switch is your issue.

So bypassing the switch would mean connecting the wires on the switch as if it was ON all the time?

If it is a simple 2-wire switch, then typically yes you would be correct. But, you need to check your wiring diagram to be sure. Your switch could be stuck open or stuck closed. It depends on if the PLC is looking for signal or absence of signal to determine if the switch is in the run position.
