They are great. HV has the tires, which everyone complains about, but they really are not that bad to change and don't go out that often. It's been one of the best decisions I have made at my car wash for sure. Just getting ready to order a new Razor for my second location. I'm told it's an even better unit than the HV so I'm sure I will be happy with it too.

Thanks,
Lighthouse

Pros are it’s a good machine with workhorse design (4000), relatively easy to work on and moderately priced.

Cons are the options list is long and expensive, machine is slow, wash quality is average (inverted-L), reclaim system is hard to get right and it has 25-year old design where marketability and technology has been eclipsed.

Like Broadway roll-over, it’s a workhorse but not very fashionable by today’s standards.

I liken it to a Chevy as compared to Cadillac that is available.

Xcellent machine, great company to deal with. Put mine in almost 3 years ago and havnt looked back. Once you get your chemicals and speeds right it cleans as good or better than any other touchfree out there.

There's a fully refurbished one that my distributer has just redone I'm looking at for 30k. Any thoughts has all options and software updates . Redone pump stand solenoids etc
My one problem is bay size
27.6 x 14.6 x 10

I do like the machine and fits my budget as Im just starting with a 25 year old wash that I picked up 2 years ago.
I've revamped everything else and now for the cash cow. I hope...

Does anyone know anything about the motor city reflex. They have 3 2007 brand new sitting in warehouse. That got over looked and want to sell with warranty as if new for only 30k

“My one problem is bay size 27.6 x 14.6 x 10”

Unfortunately, this is the wrong one problem to have.

Reflex requires 12’4” ceiling. You are 2’4” short.

What is the market potential of site location – base hit, homerun or grand slam?

If it’s only a base hit, it probably won’t be cost effective to modify building.

In this case, one option would be to look for an obsolete turbo wash that fits 10’ ceiling.

Are you dealing with Jason and Jay S.? If so they are great people to deal with!! Highly recommend. Stand behind everything they sell.

I have no personal experience with it but from what I have been told by several people whose opinion I trust I would stay away from the Reflex.

Robert is right: That is the WRONG problem to have. Maybe try a floor mount frame. ...? That can add a little squeeze factor. That's exactly what I did...

You need to be very careful trying to squeeze a unit into a bay. Often times many unexpected problems follow. I think it you need to do some research to find a unit that fits without any alteration that meets your needs. I know you are looking for used equipment that makes it a little harder but the time involved in finding the right one will pay off in the end.

rbi is correct. I had major problems with my overhead hose. It was kinking, because it was so tight (hitting edge of frame). We switched to a slightly short, much stiffer, over head hose. Problem solved.
