how full should carraige ( or trolley)gearboxes be filled with oil? also -- i cant see a way to add oil to carraige gearbox beyond 50 percent full... (witout removing motor ,etc..) ...trolley gearbox appears easy access / fill

90w synthetic. You gotta remove a plug and I use a small funnel with a piece of tubbing attached. fill until it just starts to overflow.

its going to be 3 plugs on all the gearboxes one will be halfway and the other will be on top of the gearbox where you add it in and actually a plug on the bottom as well for draining. All laserwash 4000s and high velocity's have this. I always bought the oil from a PDQ distributor or washworld you will have to make a homemade bottle or a squirt can with a small tube. When oil starts coming out the halfway plug its full.

Be careful not to drop the Allen screw when you remove these to drain and add oil very easy to do.

I use a syringe and maybe add a little hose to it to get in the hole they couldn't've have put them in a worse place
