WashWorld Razor E-Chain poly-tubing

Has anybody had to replace the blue 1/2"OD poly tubing in the e-chain with another brand then WashWorld uses. I just had another line get ruined from a failed solenoid valve, I looked up the specs on the tubing currently and I was told "DO NOT" replace it with just any poly-tubing it has to have certain features to prevent freezing, kinking, and extreme flexibility, etc.

Are there any specs on the tubing? Maybe it's N11 nylon or air brake tubing.

What solenoid is failing?

What chemical is being carried in the tubing? Presoak? If it is a presoak hose do not replace it with a rubber automotive type of hose. These will leach out the chemical in the presoak and eventually clog up.

What solenoid is failing?

On our FnF manifold in the equip room, the air solenoid stuck open and there are NC solenoids for each line on the Razor so it was just filling up with a ton of air pressure and ballooned the lines but 2 times bigger than the size as seen in the picture.

I spoke with the installer today about that hose he said they have never had a hose go bad but did say they had one blow out .I wonder if it was from the solenoid valve failure.I hope thats not gonna be a problem area.

I just got the internal parts to the solenoid valves from KR (kick-off spring, plunger, viton rubber diaphragm) and just replaced all of the valves on my FnF and entire pumpstand to be certain and to have piece of mind knowing they are viton material now and not the crappy regular rubber diaphragms. Now just have to find a supplier of the 1/2"OD polyurethane hose with the same specs.

Could you install a "sacrificial" hose somewhere outside of the e-chain and easily accessible, so in the event of a future solenoid failure you won't have to pull a new hose through the chain?

I may have just found a better replacement poly-tube on Zoro.com with the same specs and better rating then I'm using now I'll keep you informed once it comes in.

N11 tubing is rated almost twice that pressure and is actually cheaper on this site:

I stay away from any colors, especially red, and also clear. Even indirect sunlight breaks it down quickly and it gets brittle. Black N11 won't degrade from sunlight at all. A sacrificial piece of the lower burst rated tubing is a good idea.

*Update* the poly-tubing I ordered I thought was from a different company then what was on the Razor originally was, in fact, the same company, same hose, and specs BUT the total price was unbelievable from Zoro.com cost me around $65 for what other companies even the manufacture wanted almost $150 for the same thing! Zoro for the win AGAIN

Is there a chance that high pressure water is getting to that line? Bad check valve?
