Water Softener salt tank

I have noticed that, when Water softener is regenerating, the salt tank goes empty(runs out of water). PLEASE tell me this is normal, & should not alarm me...?

I have a twin tank GinSan Water Lovers w/ a Flek head....

The 2nd step in the regeneration process is called "brine draw". This is where the fully saturated water in the tank is sucked or pumped into the resin tank. Fleck systems typically draw 100% of the brine from the tank followed by a refill with fresh water later in the regen process.

Short answer...Yes, it's normal.
