Do NOT put in a nice area, as they already have ice/ water in their fridge at home.
Try to be near low income & ballfields or a busy lake. Get @ least 1 good customer (business) using it all the time.
There will be as much maintenance as on your SS bays, & more during the Winter (odd as that sounds).
I've known several that have tried and sold or given up. But I have a friend who has found they do very well at low income washes. Everyone in the area rents and the landlords don't usually install refrigerators with ice makers. He prices his bags a good bit lower than the C stores and over a short period of time gained a very loyal following. So anyway, he's a strong believer that a busy low income wash is a prime location for an ice machine.
