Wax doesn't getting sucked into mixing tank

Hi all, thank in advance for any advice.
We have an ongoing wax problem with our chemical mixing tank, and need some advice.
We have a hydrominder that is set up to draw water and wax via a proportioner.
The hydrominder seems to work, when fluid inside the mixing tank dropped below set level, it would start to fill water in. However, from time to time, the proportioner would not to be able to draw any wax into the mixing tank.
We thought it was the foot valve, so we changed foot valve, problem stayed.
We thought it was the proportiner plugged, so we broke it apart, made sure it's cleaned, put back together, and tapped threads, silicon sealed connections. Problem still stayed.
We changed out the drawing tube from chemical bottom to the proportioner, problem still stayed.

Could it be the hydrominder issue? but it's gives out water just fine.
Anybody had similar problems? or any kind of advice would be greatly appreciated.

What about the hydrominder discharge hose.... does it have a clamp?

Yes it does, and we replace it too

We use same set up for all our chemicals. Only wax is giving us problems.

I have had a crack in the black plastic valve body? Could be the problem?

What about the discharge tube flooding ring it's about 1" down for the educator it should have a plastic ring inside the discharge tube and a small hole above that for anti-siphon.

I had it in there before, and removed it today just for tries. And I forgot to mention, I removed the flow tip on chemical line before it enters the proportioner.
All attempts have failed at this point

Does the water sound like it is flowing at the same volume as other hydrominders on the same rack? If not, a clogged inlet screen or old diaphragm can cause that. Any place allowing air on the inlet side will also be a problem. This includes the chemical hose right around the metering tip. As the hose ages it can hard and not seal well. Also, the discharge hose must seal tightly around the eductor properly, allowing no air to enter there.

I have also had the elbow under the valve body cause a problem.

Thanks guys. All the inputs are really helpful. I was about to pull all my hair out on this one. This one does draw water a little bit weaker than others, I will break apart the hydrominder tomorrow and see what needs to be replaced tomorrow. Will give an update if any progress is made.

1. Check hydrominder inlet screen for debris which may reduce inflow. Check flow before it enters hydrominder.
2. Swap educator with another one that works and see if problem persists.
3. Swap entire Hydrominder with another and see if problem persists.

I had a similar issue with a hydrominder on the pump stand I just installed. I replaced every part and still had suction issue. Ended up replacing the whole hydrominder and it worked. Never had that happen before, usually it's the eductor or a clogging issue.

I would start by installing a valve kit https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-2125-hydrominder-valve-parts-kit-for-506-511-530-545.aspx and then depending on the age of the Hydrominder I’d replace the educator https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-12842-body-only-for-eductor.aspx also check your incoming water pressure, it should be around 40psi

Thank you guys for all the help. Yes it was the diaphragm inside the actuator that caused it after all.
There is a small hole at the center of the diaphragm. Replaced it today and it's working fine now

I knew it would be something simple. It's a good idea to always have a spare parts inventory.
