Looking for opinions and experience on using hard water versus soft for the weep water. I'm using soft for 30 years and the only reason I'm using soft is because that's the way we built the place. Anyone using hard and what's your experience?

Been using hard water for 22 years. I see no benefit to using soft water for weep.

Same here. When I bought the wash, they had it plumbed to weep soft water. I've never had an issue after switching to hard water.

Yeah, hard water, unless you don't mind the additional cost.

Always been hard here. The only negative is if the water is high in rust some will deposit on the lines. But it's bad enough wasting regular water let alone soft water.

Switch it.
