What setup do you all use for day to day steel and stainless steel weld fixes. Need to attach some vacs. It would be nice to have something simple to do minor repairs. Thanks!

What are you attaching vacs to? I recently repaired an Adams vac that had two of the mounting tabs broken off - I used a Unistrut "L" bracket and bolted it to the vac with a carriage bolt. Looks fine and it's much stronger than it was.

I 2nd MEP's suggestion. If possible a Nut and bolt fix - Stainless if possible will offer a great solution.

Concrete. Do you have pics? The brackets for mounting in the vac are in bad shape. Some of them only have one that really works. I'd love To know how your fix looks and works. Thanks!

for years we tried to fix stainless steel with all kinds of mickey mouse fixes glue, drilling, unistrut, taping, took the jump and bought Lincoln mp 210 welder, took a welding class and now weld SS steel, not a top notch welder bit with the help of a grinder welds look good. Welding does take skill, ;)it paid off as we had a bad guy damage 10 vacs in 2 months caught the guy with a new video system and repaired the 10 vacs which would have been junked in the past

I should be at that wash in a couple weeks and I'll try to remember to get a pic. It worked great and looked okay, doesn't quite blend in like the stainless tab but it won't break again.
