What is everyones preferred weep solenoid valve?

The one in my wash is failing. It's the original from when the wash was built 10 years ago.

What is everyone preferred valve? Asco, DEMA, other?

I prefer asco. Had lots of problems with the demas, never any problems with the asco red hats.

HAd Dema NO a few years now since I put in the then new weepmizer. So far no issues.

I have dema NO diaphragm not pistons as advised on this site. They seem to be ok for me. I had an Asco on my laser was for one season, and it failed(never closing) this year. Could be a fluke. I know a lot of folks have had good experiences with them.

+1 what Randy said...6 years ago I had a Dema Piston on the weep. What a piece of junk. Randy suggested the Asco 8210G34 and its worked flawlessly ever since. Even though they aren't cheap, I have a spare on the shelf. With that kind of insurance, the one at the CW should never fail!

I have a Dema NO at one wash and it has never had one issue. I replaced a GC valve with an Asco based on feedback from this site, and I have had to replace the diaphragm twice in it already. The repair kit costs as much as the Dema, so no more ASCO for me.

I had an ASCO on the self-serve side three years ago when I bought my wash. Had problems with it and went with a dema w/a diaphram and it has been okay.

I've also had lots of trouble with DEMA piston valves, even had a brand new one fail to open the first time it was called for. The diaphragm ones have not been any trouble.

I would definitely go back with the same valve you are using now, if it lasted that long.

I've always used the Asco brand weep valves with good success. Dema's may be just as good or better, never had a need to try one.

I just replaced a GC n/o valve with a Dema n/o valve. No opinion at this time, but is working as should be.

I always put a 1/2" ball valve in front of the ASCO solenoid so I can turn off the weep water when it's not needed, normally April - October. The last ASCO solenoid valve I installed lasted 22 years before the diaphragm went bad.
