What is recommended for "high pressure wax" function in self serve

Im using what was left over from prior owner, its time to get something to restock. Since the dial says "wax" and based on the scum layer that was in the old tank system I replaced, I think it really might be a wax, but not seeing a lot of choices for a "wax" to go on at high pressure. Have triple foam polish also so don't want to be redundant. Just curious what others if they have that spot on their dials. Thanks in advance

Depends on what your personal preference is on how you want the "wax" to look. Some people like a "foaming wax" like Simoniz Blue lagoon Foaming wax or Kleen-Rite Just Peachy. I prefer a non-colored wax with low foam. I use both kleen-Rite Kleenpak Aquaguard and Kleen-Rite KleenSeal. The KleenSeal does contain mineral oil. Some people avoid mineral oil but I have been using this product for over 15 years without issue. If I had to choose between either 2, I'd go with the Aquaguard.

We use the Simoniz Cherry Glo from KR, part #PA5308. I puts on a nice shine on the car, we use a lot of it so our customers must like it. We tried Just Peachy once and it was nasty, turned the pit water green, like antifreeze was dumped in the pit.

I used to have 2 positions with HP rinse. I changed 1 to a second wax. One is called “wax” the other is “clear coat protectant”. People use both!

Thanks, I like that idea. I was thinking of adding a bug off but your idea does not require another hydrominder tank.

I use Cherry Brite from Scotch Plaid in Dallas (They just got bought out by Sonny's but they said they'll still keep their old line). It's a silicone carnauba blend, and is actually a wax and works very well with a decent show. It's pretty expensive though.

I like having two rinse positions. I recommend to customers to start with tire cleaner and go around the dial, that way they rinse, apply trifoam, use wax to remove the trifoam, then a quick rinse before spot free. If I had two waxes I'd switch to a 12 position switch and eventually add dryers as last function.

Someone came through before me and added "Bug Off" after presoak and removed one of the rinse, and I've been changing them back as I replace decals. NO ONE uses Bug Off - it's just another presoak position, and we don't even have a bug season.

Just to be clear, they are two separate products, 2 separate hydrominder tanks etc. It is much easier to add another HP functions vs a low pressure function like bug off. You'll only need a tank, hydrominder, solenoids and wiring. A low pressure functions requires an air pump and then additional lines out to the boom. THe HP functions are just taped into the HP pump next to your existing soap and wax

I use Quest total Shield TF- Grape scented, light purple foaming silicone based that beads well and leaves some UV protection.

I would use something stronger than tape.

Deep blue from KR works great and smells good. Provides a great beading show on the vehicle.
