Can anyone tell me what type of oil and the capacities of the gearboxes on the laserwash 4000? I found a tag on one gearbox that says use Mobil SHC 634. Is the oil the same for both gearboxes?

If PDQ wasn't so anal about allowing owners of their products access to a manual for a machine they own I could find answers to things like this.

Correct. Should be used with all Gearbox's. Washworld has a part number of 43931 and is sold by the quart. The Washworld oil that is used in all 50:1 Gearbox's is the SCH-630. Not sure the difference between the 630 and the 634 or if it matters if it is 30:1 or 50:1 ratios.

The difference between the two Mobil synthetic oils is viscosity. The 634 is much more viscous compared to the 630. It would not be wise to use the same oil in both types of gearbox since one of them (the 634 gearbox) is probably a right angle drive.

Sparkey, please reach out to me. If you own a wash, I can get you access to the manuals.
