Where to stay in Nashville?

I.B. Washincars

I plan to go to the ICA show in May. Does anyone have any advice on where to stay? I am driving to Nashville and will have a vehicle, so I don't necessarily need to be within walking distance.

My wife booked the hotel so I am not sure where we ended up. I do know you need to keep an eye on parking fees. Some of the hotels she looked at had $20 a day parking fees. Just beware.

I'd advise trying to find someplace within walking distance. Everything you'll probably do (including the Forum Dinner) will be in close proximity, and parking downtown and traffic can be a pain. That said, I don't really know which hotel I'd recommend.

When and where is the forum dinner?

I'm thinking Puckett's at the corner of 5th and Church St. Not sure which night yet - open to suggestions.

So how does 6:30 on Tuesday at Puckett's sound? If that's good - we'll announce it again in the forum closer to the convention.

I booked my room today. Out of all the hotels listed on the ICA site, only Embassy Suites had a room available. It is about 1.5 miles away, but shuttle service is provided. See you there.

What days did you book? I can't decide if I want to drive up Monday morning (3.5 hour drive) or come Sunday night. Figured I would stay until Tuesday dinner then drive back. All I see on the website is Monday night available. They do have rooms for Sunday, but only if you book direct.

I found a room with a private bathroom & entrance 1.3 miles from the music center on airbnb. It was $75/night. My first time trying airbnb, but since I was traveling solo, I figured I didn't need anything too extravagant. Place looked nicer than most hotels and had 5/5 star rating from the past users.

I booked Monday night only, but will try airbnb as I'd rather not pay the parking fees and save money on the room as well.

i just booked at the Holiday Inn Vanderbilt downtown. Actually saved some money vs when I looked about a month ago. I had been flip-flopping on going.

We are staying at the Courtyard. This is our first Car Wash Show and we look forward to meeting you all.
