Thanks for all of the info.

I think that I will go with a HTC Inspire or Incredible S. Now the carriers. Verizon uses CDMA and ATT uses GSM with a SIM card that I can change if I go to another country, but apparently, the Verizon phones can't be done that way.

Bill,

Just a thought for what it is worth ---- I have had my Motorola Droid X since last September & I can't remember a single time where the extra sized screen was an issue & it is nicer to be able to see & include more on the screen at once.

If I did the math right the charge that it is applied to should be $15.10.

That is the problem, customer service don't know crap. It's almost like when they had a monopoly, "who cares, you have no choice".

Another strange thing, if I get this phone at AT&T its $99 with a 2 year plan but if I go through Amazon, its $49, with the 2 year plan. I'm thinking that getting the activation fee waived makes a difference.

Anyone with T-Mobile, they are going to be bought out by AT&T? Their phone is a myTouch 4G looks like the Inspire, or Incedible 2. Their unlimited plan is $80 a month, while the others are higher.

I used to be. TMO has best customer service in industry. Make sure that price includes data and activesync for android since it looks like you are going that way. Activesync gives you real time sync of email, calender etc.

I got it

After some research and all of your help, I decided on the HTC Inspire. It is through AT&T. I don't go to Seattle much so I hope that won't be an issue.

I had $50 credit with my GoPhone plan, which with AT&T I was able to transfer. I also went to Costco to get it, so instead of $99, it was $30, no attivation, ($18) at AT&T, and an accessory pack.

I'm still figuring out how to use it and getting use to the keyboard.

What apps do you guys have that are a must have?
