Hi.pls cna anyone help me? I own mobile car wasj and I am using 1000l water tank and after i rinse car there is all over white spots..can i use salt tablets into water tank?thanks

No, salt is used in a water softener to refresh the resin and provide soft water. Adding salt to water doesn't exchange the hard ions with soft, it will just give you hard, salty water. You can fill your tank with softened or reverse-osmosis filtered water.

It's not that simple. By "filtered" I meant reverse osmosis filtered. You'd be better off with a water softener. You might also try contacting a local car wash to see what they would charge you to fill up your tank with RO-filtered water.

How many tanks are you running? I would think at least two, one with softened water for washing and one with RO (spot free water) for your final rinse.

When your gently rub your finger over a white spot, does it smear, wipe off, or stay the same? The first two indicate wax or soap still on the vehicle. If it stays on, then that indicates a hard water stain and the vehicle needs to be detailed with polish, wax, sealant, etc.

Yes.

The most efficient and cost effective way for a mobile carwash operation to produce spot free water from water in a holding tank is a portable D.I. canister.

D.I. refers to de-ionization of water.

You can buy a D.I. system online for about $250. The filters are disposable and cost about $25 or so.

This is what most of the car lot washers use in our area.

You should also keep in mind that our benevolent government is cracking down on all car lot washing. I know of many here in Florida, used car dealers with 20 cars on the lot, that were told to stop. Remember, it's to save the whales.

Not sure how hard the Irish water is, you will want to find out how hard your water is.
Hard water?-- you will need a water softener
You may have soft water but still have high TDS (total dissolved solids) in the water. to remove these solids you will need an RO unit (or D.I. unit as mentioned earlier) Depending how much RO water you need will determine the size of the unit and tank. You may need a small commercial RO unit or a large household drinking water system.

To get some of your answers locally, locate a water conditioning company. Don't purchase equipment before checking competitive pricing and probably getting a second opinion. This is brief but I hope it helps
