My wife and I are excited to head back to Nashville in a couple of weeks. I haven’t been to an ICA show since the last one in Nashville pre-Covid. It was great to connect with so many forum members!
We’re arriving the previous Friday to have some time together before I abandon her to attend the show.
Who else is attending this year?

Sami, have you ever been to the ICA show? One day is just not enough.
Yeah, I have gone the last 2 times it was in Nashville. First trip I went for a few hours on Monday, then a few hours on Tuesday and went home. Last time I just got there at 11am on Monday and left after the reception. Lots to see, but it's mostly tunnel oriented so I was able to see everything that pertained to me in those 7 hours. Basically anything that had to do with SS or IBA's.

Yeah, you're right. The "steerage" part of the industry has been pretty much abandoned for the time being.

I don't know many in the car wash biz, but hope to meet many of you. I will be there on behalf of Burton Car Wash in Vermont.

When originally planning the trip my focus was on pay stations and vacuums for our IBA site. But in a turn of events, it looks like I will be looking into tunnel equipment for a ground up build as well. I know nothing of tunnel washes and plan to be very busy at the show.

See you there!

I really hate Las Vegas but Nashville is a lot of fun.
I would rather have gone to Vegas. What is there to do in Nashville? I'm not a big drinker, and I have to keep walking to a minimum from a bad ankle.

Listen to music for free, tour the Ryman, see a show at the Grand Ole Opry, grab a hot chicken sandwich at Hattie B’s, see a hockey game...tour a distillery.
You say your not a big drinker, not a non-drinker. I’d recommend touring the Nelson Greenbrier distillery. It’s enjoyable and there is a great tasting room at the end.
What’s there to do in Las Vegas? Drink, gamble, eat expensive low quality food, get a headache walking through the casino? Walk on piping hot pavement? I do enjoy visiting the Hoover Dam.
The thing I hate most about Vegas is the long flight from the East coast. For me, I have to devote an entire day to travel.

Thanks for posting Eric! I've been a member of ICA for 19 years, and this is my 1st trip to Tennessee. I'm flying in on 5/8 and leaving late on 5/11. I normally just attend CW Convention when it's in Vegas, since I live in California. I'm excited to venture out a little farther & explore. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to meet some of the CW Forum posters. Is there any informal event planned for CW Forum?

Nothing planned yet. Last time the show was in Nashville a few of us got together for dinner one night.
When Bill P owned the forum he would coordinate meet up’s on the show floor and host a dinner or cocktail party at night. Jackson owns the forum now and takes more of a backseat to operations here. To be fair Jackson isn’t a Carwash owner.
I’ll probably ask for people to send me their phone numbers to put together a text group. Sometimes that group will get out of hand with messages all day. Maybe someone has a suggestion on a good way to manage communication for our Nashville group
