You will love this one, and whoever it is, would you take my name off your front door:)

I received this email tonight.

My name is Crystal Spence and I went thru the automatic car wash called D&S 5000 and I paid the top one and it left soap on my car didn't even finish it!! So I had to spray the soap off by myself!! I want to have a refund or something if u want me to continuing my services! I live in Marshall, Texas and my # is (318) 347-XXXX! (email me for the number)

The point of me being upset is that I have a nice vehicle and I was going out of town. It wasted my time to have to go to another car wash!! Crystal

SW Indiana melon fields.
Now that's funny. Gotta make you wonder why the owner has something on his door with your e-mail on it.

You gotta sympathise with the customer though. We all know that nice cars will not run when out of town with dirt on them.

99 times out of 100 that situation was creatd by the customer failing to get on the tredle, not by a failure of the D&S 5000.

I can't count the times I've been chewed out because "your equipment don't work right," only to watch the video to find out the customer can't follow simple instrructions.

That said, I do like the wash owner's approach and I'll be putting Bill's e-mail on all my equipment. Bill, let me know if there are any problems that you can't address yourself.

It might be a case like what I went through working for a distributor. Once in a while someone would call and complain that "your car wash" did this or didn't do that. The customers were getting our name off the bay menu sign and calling, thinking it was owned by a corporation. Someone might have Googled, found this site by the keywords entered and emailed you without checking any further.

I used to work for a distrbutor and we used to get those calls all the time. It sometimes was amusining to hear them tell what happened. The ones that used to pi$$ me off were the ones that thought we were lying to them and that we really did own the wash. We usually tried to contact the owner rather than give them their phone numbers.

The ones I hated were completely unreasonable. Sometimes there was no use trying to explain that we were just a supply company and had nothing to do with the wash. I remember one old guy who, after I told him I'd contact the owner of the wash for him and let him know of the problem, said "I want my ****ing money right ****ing now!"

The lady emailed me again with the location:

The corner of Pinecrest and 59th in Marshall, TX She said that there was phone number & I imagine, no complaint box. These are the people that give us a bad rap.

I suggested that she make a sign "Don't get ripped off" and stand on the sidewalk on Sat. & Sun. calling the press while she is at it. I imagine that she sould get some satisfaction from that. It looks good on the 6 PM news.

Subject: I would like to let YOU know...

To ..WHOever gives a damn about your RED CARPET service...
Yesterday, October 16, 2009 I wanted to get the dust off my 2010 Black Camaro
Saw the Red Carpet Carwash in SEQUIM, WA and decided to give them a try. After I saw that, they were not very busy, I proceeded to enter the Car Wash..but then
I went back to ask if they could at least get the dust of the wheels? I had tipped 2 dollars, to the young man to do my wheels, after taxes I had paid 20.27 and expected not miracles but at least the dust to be off?
I was told that... that price did not include wheels? Then when I got home I discovered , that aside from the car being water spotted all over, I had waited to see someone it at least towel it dry , nobody showed up... then there where two large patches of dust on my rear fenders, about 8 inches by 36 inches, obviously it was never touched by your machine or your personel..I feel that RED CARPET CAR WASH in Sequim at least..
Is the worst Wash Job I have ever had

Then there was this one. I answered him, but haven't heard back. He included a bill for the hood ornament:

Dear Mr. Pitzer:
On September 9, 2010 at approximately 5:00pm I took my 2004 Jaguar XJ8 to Quick Lube Express on Binford Blvd in Indianapolis, IN. The purpose of my visit to your store was to have a right head light changed. The technician whose name is John serviced my car. He ask me to “pop the hood.” When the hood was released he attempted to open the hood by pulling it open by the Jaguar decal located on the hood of the car. He tore the decal off of my car.
I had the car decal replaced and I am forwarding the bill for reimbursement. The total cost is $396.50. You can make out the check to Theron Williams. My address is 7020 Grosvenor PL, Indianapolis, IN 46220.
Thank you for your immediate attention in this matter.
Please find the invoice attached.

Bill, You didn't include my response!;):p Oh the joys of the internet age!:)

I was protecting you:)

Perhaps you should pay attention to who you are actually complaining to. This is Red Carpet Car Wash in Canton Ohio. I don't know where the carwash that you are complaining about is located, but they are not affiliated with our wash. Anyone with a keen sense of the obvious would have noticed this fact, unless they going through life blissfully unencumbered with intelligence. Here is the phone # for the wash you visited; (360) 582-0000
