Wireless IP cameras

Has the commerial market ventured into this type of cctv yet? I see most of the wireless ip cameras are made for indoor home monitoring, even with the name wireless you still have to run power to it so how it that "wireless"?

I just installed a battery powered "Arlo" by netgear. Outside in west Michigan. They claim it is weather proof. I put it into a box to protect it some. So far, it's worked fine. I had to tape off the IR for glare purposes, being in a box with plexiglass screen.

Where did you get your weatherproof box / plexiglass?

Made it from supplies at Home Depot.

I made a enclosed camera box out of a fiberglass electrical box. I cut a large round hole in one end and then siliconed a piece of glass on the inside over the hole.
